Recently, version 3.0 of the open source ct.js 3 cross platform 2D game engine was released. The engine is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux and its source code is available on GitHub under the MIT open source license. The engine boasts a complete JavaScript API, multiple plug and play extensions, a full level editor, FX and UI editors, and more. The engine is based on the Pixi.js HTML 2D renderer and can be deployed on most major platforms.
Notable features of ct.js 3 include a room/level editor with tile support, an integrated code editor with error handling, arcade collisions and 2D physics libraries, framed and skeletal animations, a music and sound manager, a particle system, shaders, and lighting system, notes and documentation in a side panel on every screen, the ability to use custom JavaScript, and easy packing and deployment.
